KOHLER PGEN
The PGEN system allows two or more Kohler gensets (even of different power ratings and even for single-phase gensets) to be connected in parallel with each other without the aid of external (usually very expensive) equipment, thus distributing the loads fully automatically.
This mainly results in several advantages:
- Only one on-board power line
- One switchboard
- Only one cable reel for the quayside power cable
- Smaller gensets with the same size
- Smaller and lighter gensets
- Lower consumption and better operating efficiency
- More flexibility in technical solutions and commercial proposals.
Some of the advantages described are purely economic and can be monetised, others are engineering, construction and commercial advantages.
